We met Justin at a pitch event hosted by the Nashville Entrepreneur Center. Potluck, a party planning app built for ease and connection, was a project we couldn’t wait to join.
Marketing can mean a hundred different things. When potential clients start these conversations, they rarely have a clear roadmap for where to begin.
Inside our signature Half-Day Intensive, we work with founders, brands and small business owners to clarify their messaging and map out the best strategy for their marketing budget. With Potluck, the potential was vast. The product and platform were already built, which gave us room to focus on real growth: paid ads, organic content and email marketing funnels tailored to every user on the platform.
We took Potluck’s existing style guide and app wireframes and built out the rest: content creation, social calendars, email marketing and paid advertising. Every touchpoint mattered.
Creative Direction & Days on SetWhen we started with Potluck, the content library was thin and lacked personality. Much of the imagery on the website was stock photography with no clear point of view.
Our creative direction leaned into nostalgia, the kind that comes with holidays and gathering the people you love. With a 1980s cinematic feel, we built signature content series that could evolve with the seasons and support ongoing conversations well beyond a single post.

Give our team giant Post-it notes and an afternoon in FigJam, and something clicks. The email marketing strategy for Potluck was no exception.
Because any user could receive any email in the funnel, every message needed unique copy and design. Using webhooks from the app and specific enter and exit criteria, we built an email system that’s thoughtful, personalized and built to re-engage users again and again.

Through organic content, daily engagement and paid advertising, our focus with Potluck stayed clear: remind people why gathering together matters.
From pitcher cocktails to crowd-favorite recipes to b-roll built to delight, the result was content that felt both approachable and aspirational.
